Founded by a young female entrepreneur and proudly family-operated, Ancestros is a small business built on the belief that food is more than what is served at the table—it is a connection to our history, our families, our community, and the people who came before us. Our roots begin in Guadalajara, Jalisco, but our story extends far beyond one place. Our recipes have been shaped through generations of family traditions, shared kitchens, celebrations, and meaningful interactions with the people whose paths have crossed ours along the way. Each has left behind a flavor, a technique, a memory, or a story that has become part of what we serve today.
Deeply rooted in community
Eventually, our family planted new roots in Long Beach, California, a diverse city we are proud to call home. Ancestros was created with that same sense of community in mind. We strive to be more than a neighborhood restaurant—we want to be a gathering place that reflects the diversity, warmth, and culture of the community that has welcomed our family.

We want every dish to feel both nostalgic and new: familiar enough to bring back a memory, yet thoughtfully presented in a way that celebrates the richness and beauty of Latin culture.

Our chicken and steak are halal, allowing more members of our diverse community to experience and enjoy the authentic Latin flavors we are proud to share.
